The Soul The Soul said:
I am not hidden and mysterious;
I am fully present,
deliciously delirious...
drunk on life.
I am silent galaxies of endless stars
mated with noisy kaleidoscopes of Mardi Gras dancers.
I am laughter, so hard it makes me ache.
I am wailing grief that knows no shame.
I ride surging tides that ebb and flow.
I have no choice.
I move with sun and moon and stars
in inexplicable ways….
that nourish life.
I am a force of nature that will not be denied.
I never give up on my wildest dreams.
Not for anyone.
I am silence so vast; I forget myself...
and become everything else
and nothing.
I am hungry for Earth and Rain and Wind
upon hands and feet and face.
I salivate over flowers, sunsets, and deep emotions.
I know where I come from and where I am going…
repeatedly into millions of….
single moments.
I move hungrily into unknown places,
and soothing comforts so familiar…
I weep with relief.
I love light and warmth and peace…
upon my skin,
yet, vigorously dive into deep, dark shadows,
spelunking all emotions...
without judgment.
I rage over white-bread mediocrity
and settle for no less than wild, raw life,
and grit and gristle.
I boom like thunder and strike like lightning…
over injustice to children, the oppressed, and tortured.
Yet, I am in love with sweet peace, gentle rain, and sunny days.
I spurn convention and social edict,
and do things others or the ‘conditioned-self'…
might not approve.
I am untamable, uncontainable, wild, and feral…
and always free.
I am without time or distance…
in love with all of existence.
